Gillian starring in "A Dolls House" in London
Hopefully one of our Brits here can go see this! Or...Next Phile Fest? Hmm Official play date First Preview: May 14 Press Night: May 19 Official Performances: May 23 - July 18 A Dolls House tickets will be available soon to see the masterpiece by Henrik Ibsen starring Gillian Anderson at the Donmar Warehouse. Directed by Bafta award winning Kfir Yefet, Ibsen’s 1879 classic is reworked by acclaimed writer Zinnie Harris, ensuring that these A Dolls House tickets will be some of the most sought after of the year. Those lucky enough to pick up some A Dolls House tickets will be able to see the return of Gillian Anderson to the London stage. Anderson is perhaps best known to many as Scully from the hit television show, the X-Files, but A Dolls House tickets will show exactly why she’s so highly regarded as a theatre actress. Anderson has also starred in What The Night is For and The Swee-*test*-('") Thing in Baseball on the UK stage, as well as numerous television shows and films. Ibsen’s A Dolls House tells the story of Nora, played by Anderson, and her husband Torvald. The play questions traditional notions of marriage and the roles men and women hold within, and outside of it, and consequently it retains considerable pertinence even today. A Dolls House was one of Ibsen’s most famous works and it continues to be widely read and studied, so you can expect Zinnie Harris’ version to be an exciting new adaptation. Henrik Ibsen’s A Dolls House starring Gillian Anderson runs at the Donmar Warehouse in Spring 2009. A Dolls House tickets will be available soon so please check back for more information. Dates are yet to be confirmed. http://www.viewlondon.co.uk/whatson/...icle-7086.html EDITED: GAws has corrected the dates of the play. How much does it cost to fly to London?

ratgirl84- 08-18-2008

I dunno about from Florida (but I imagine it would be cheaper), but it cost me $500 back in 2005 for a non-stop from LAX to Heathrow. Took just a little under 9 hours to get there.

kamisch42- 08-18-2008

$500 round trip?!? That's not too bad...I bet it's higher now though because of the whole oil, inflation & airplane thing  I should just go look for myself...Hmmmm....BRB.

kamisch42- 08-18-2008

Well...I could leave from Miami for under $1000 at least! That would be awesome. We could hook up with the British Philes!!! Look out C4XF & Toni, and...who else lives over there, I can't remember?

Dudes...when I checked through Cheapoair London or something like that, I found tickets for around $700!!!! OMG that'd be so friggin' awesome!!!

Raindrop_3143- 08-19-2008

But with hotel and food and entertainment cost this would be one pricey trip. I like the sound of it though... a lot better then the PNW but thats because I am already here!

chelle591- 08-19-2008

ooh this sounds good! If it doesn't fall on exam time then a trip to London may be on the cards

kamisch42- 08-20-2008

Hotel? Psht. Tell C4XF to roll over, we be sharin' some beds :giggle: No, but it'd have to be a shorter trip for me than L.A. was is all...because I'd have to cut back on hotel costs that way. And food? Well...just not so many real restaurants this time. I can get by on groceries & snacks
